Duct Sealing

Were you aware that one of the most common energy wasters in your home can be found inside your ceiling and walls? That is called ductwork. And having poor ductwork is a disaster for the integrity of your home. Unfortunately, many homes across the Phoenix area have ductwork that is improperly sealed.

When ductwork is not sealed correctly, it can lead to significant losses of the conditioned air up to about 30% of your total conditioned air.

Bright Home Energy has become a certified dealer of Aeroseal in order to help our customers with this costly issue. Our team of certified technicians will be able to provide a full energy savings report after the seal is complete.

What Is Duct Sealing?

You might ask yourself, what is duct sealing? Well, in homes with forced air-conditioning and heating systems, ducts are used to spread conditioned air throughout your house and distribute it effectively.

Unfortunately, due to such things as holes, leaks, and improper installation, about 20 to 30 percent of your forced air is lost. Because of this, a duct seal is used to patch up the gaps leading into your home. In addition, duct sealing will prevent forced air from escaping through duct work holes. This seal is a soft compound non-toxic that looks similar to pizza dough and was initially created for HVAC purposes.

Duct sealing is used for both residential and commercial purposes. Duct sealing can also be used to block out noise, air movement, dust, and moisture.

Benefits of Duct Sealing

The good news is that Bright Home Energy uses some of the best and most effective duct sealant in the industry. In addition, our duct sealing process is straightforward and reliable. Of course, it depends on the size of the system, but the process usually takes about 4 hours.

Our sealant is non-toxic and has been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). In addition, we take pride in the fact that all the ducts of all the material types can be successfully cleaned after sealing, and our aeroseal process will not coat or line the ductwork.

The benefits of our duct sealant will include improved indoor air quality and improved physical safety. Not to mention it will also save you money on your electric bills while protecting the environment at the same time.
